Upcoming Bike for Hope Events![]() Bike-a-Thon VII Bike for Hope is joining the City of Angels Fun Ride for our 7th annual Bike-a-Thon fundraiser. Our goal this year is to purchase new cycling supplies for needy children in Armenia. The bicycles will be put under the supervision of world-renowned cycling coach Albert Soloyan who is training 250 young people for Olympic and other world competitions. Currently there is only one outdated bike available for every 7 kids to share. With a tax-deductible donation to Bike for Hope, the promising young cyclists of Armenia will be able to show the world the fruits of their ability and training. This year the Bike-a-Thon will tour the sights and sounds of Los Angeles as part of the 2009 City of Angels Fun Ride. Cyclists will choose between a 36-mile and a 53-mile route through the city, starting and ending at the L.A. Police Academy and escorted along the ride by the LAPD. Registration for the ride includes a T-shirt, lunch and a raffle ticket. Date: Sunday, April 26, 2009. Time: 53-mile route starts at 7:30 AM sharp. 36-mile route starts at 7:45. Lunch is served at 11 AM, and the raffle starts at noon. See this flyer to check out more details of the ride.
