Ride with Us to Fight Poverty and Hunger

Bike for Hope connects concerned cyclists with international charitable activities. When you ride in a Bike for Hope event, you'll be riding with a purpose. The money you help raise will go toward fighting hunger and poverty in neglected rural areas and contributing to sustainable economic development. As our name emphasizes, you'll be giving hope to communities that can benefit from a helping hand.

Bike for Hope is one of the fundraising activities of ATG International. ATG is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit, humanitarian organization working to improve living conditions in underdeveloped countries. Since its foundation in 1989, ATG has steadily built a record of accomplishment and success. Its list of projects includes...

• Enabling small farmers to provide wholesome milk to their families and villages.
• Generating and distributing to needy families assorted varieties of vegetable, wheat, corn, and alfalfa seeds, as well as grape and fruit tree seedlings.
• Providing educational and training activities about sustainable farming techniques.
• Addressing public/animal health concerns through educational programs to help minimize the transfer of infectious diseases from animals to humans.

Bike-a-Thon VI on the Horizon!

Bike for Hope's premier event, Armenia Bike-a-Thon VI, will take place in Armena and Karabagh August 18-23, 2007. This year's ride promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever. Riders will circumnavigate nearly the entire country of Armenia and enter Karabagh as well.

In addition, they'll visit areas in the countryside in which ATG has worked to reduce poverty and hunger by boosting agricultural production and creating jobs. Sites to be visited include wheat farms that have benefited from ATG's seed multiplication program, milk cooling tank facilities, vegetable farms, and a grape nursery. In addition, riders will stop at historical and cultural sites, meet rural residents, and join cyclists from Armenia taking part in the tour.
